Catching something before it breaks is always a cheaper, easier fix and it is definitely less of a headache. Also, you can plan out preventative maintenance, when it’s convenient for you, avoiding inconvenient and costly emergencies that leave you on the side of the road.

Summertime is upon us, which could mean putting on more vacation-time miles. We’re coming out of winter, which has depressed our driving, and we’re looking forward to enjoying the sights of rural Wisconsin.

Before embarking on a long trip, have your vehicle looked at for possible issues. We recommend bringing it to ProVision Partners’ Tire Center in Stratford, WI, at least two weeks before a planned major road trip, in case there is a major problem. Parts are not always available the same day, and some repairs could take multiple days.

Nobody wants to start a trip on the side of the road, 20 miles from home. Taking the initiative to look at your car now will give you peace of mind that you can make it to where you want to go.

Have our technicians do an inspection on your vehicle. Example of checking your brake pads for how much pad is left, or see if the brake rotors are cracked, making sure you will stop every time. Likewise, check the wear bars on your wheels to make sure they’re not too close to the legal minimum tread depth. Law enforcement could add that as a violation to a ticket, like having a headlight or taillight out, making a bad day just a little worse.

Make sure your AC is charged and working. High temps can be 80-95,o but it’s the high humidity that really gets you in central Wisconsin. Be sure your check engine light is not on and your entire car is in running order. With fuel prices as high as they are today, you want to make sure you’re getting the most efficiency you can.

Give the Tire Service Center a call at 715-687-4139 or come in and see us. We can get an appointment scheduled.
